| Kipas K. Maras Iplik Pamuk was founded in 1983 jointly by the families ÖKSÜZ and GÜMÜSER. The production space of 11’000 square metres in 1986 has been enlarged until today to 300’000 square metres. After this enlargement, the company today employs 4’000 people. In recent years, the company invested in a rotor spinning plant and also in weaving machines and equipment for dyeing, printing and finishing. It is a fully vertical operation, its products ranging from yarns to ready-made clothes. The corporate philosophy of Kipas is to produce goods of the highest quality to satisfy its customers' requirements. In terms of growth rate and profits achieved, Kipas is in 180th place in the league table of the Turkish industrial enterprises. Kipas produces yarns for weaving and knitting applications in yarn counts ranging from 98 tex (Ne 6) to 20 tex (Ne 30), the daily output of knitting yarns being approximately 45’000 kg. It is an export-oriented operation exporting 15’000 kg of its yarn every day. In the year 2001, the enterprise achieved a sales turnover of US-dollars 40 million. The very high quality standard of the company's products is borne out by the TSE certificates and the AQAP 120, ISO 9001 and ECOTEX certificates which have been awarded to it. Kipas K.
