| Kongkiat Textile Co. Ltd., founded in 1985, is one of the largest spinners and also a leading manufacturer and exporter of top-dyed melange-yarns in Thailand. The plant is exclusively equipped with high-tech machines and equipment supplied by German or Swiss manufacturers. In response to the growing demand from the domestic and the international markets, Kongkiat has planned the expansion of its existing production capacity in order to be able to meet its customers’ requirements, and will be installing latest-technology machinery in he near future. Kongkiat with a workforce of 700 is a spinner exclusively of rotor-yarns. Every month, the company produces 400 tons of melange yarns from cotton and cotton/synthetic blends for using in weaving and knitting. The traditional yarn counts of the yarns produced are 30 tex (Ne 20), 20 tex (Ne 30) and 15 tex (Ne 40). The yarns are for sportswear, outerwear, denim, underwear, home furnishings, socks and other applications. The main markets of the Company are Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Taiwan. Kongkiat Textile Co. Ltd has been awarded the ISO 9002 certification.
